The City of Tacoma has engaged 21CP Solutions to conduct a comprehensive assessment of its police department and provide a strategy for transformational reform.
21CP will be working with community, political, and police stakeholders to evaluate a host of critical public safety and policing issues, including:
Use of Force;
Discriminatory policing and bias-free policing practices;
Officer misconduct and accountability;
Officer recruitment, hiring, and retention;
Community policing and engagement;
Technology and resources;
Civilian complaints;
Officer wellness, employee assistance, and professional development;
Supervision and leadership development;
Stops, searches, and arrests;
Interactions with vulnerable populations; and
Crisis intervention and interactions with individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges.
